Graham TEA Party 5-02-09

Here are a few photos from the event. I arrived late and missed the speakers and most of the crowd, but as you can see a good many people hung around to chat after the speakers left.

According to the leaflet distributed at the event, the organizers were Steve Carter and Mark Hall of FreedomWorks. Guest speakers included US Congressman Howard Coble (R), NC Rep. Cary Allred (R), Alamance County Commissioners Tim Sutton (R) and Eddie Boswell (D), and Becky Gray of the John Locke Foundation. The Theme of the event was "A Protest of Government Waste and Higher Taxes"

Odd, now that I think of it, didn't Howard Coble vote FOR the w-a-s-t-e-f-u-l Stimulus Bill??? Hmmmmm.....
